According to analyst Ming-Chu Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will account for 35-40% of orders for the 15 series. He expects the 15 Pro Max to sell 10-20% better than the 14 Pro Max.
Per his report, the biggest selling feature of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be its exclusive access to a periscope zoom camera. He expects the iPhone 16 Pro to also have a periscope, greatly benefitting sales.
Largan is reportedly the exclusive periscope module supplier for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is the same Largan that apparently supplies more than 60% of the periscope lenses for Huawei – the fastest-growing adopter of periscope cameras among Chinese phone makers with an estimated 15-20 million periscope-equipped models shipped this year, and a projected 30 million next year.
This is great business for Largan as a periscope lens is reportedly 3 to 4 times more expensive than a ‘general high-end 7P lens’.
In related news, the iPhone 15 series (the non-Pro models) could see the return of a Green colorway, per Majin Bu on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He shared images of what looks to be color-matched USB-C ports for the new iPhone 15 series – there’s a Green, Blue, White, and Black.
